Giving Thanks

It is Thanksgiving week. My favorite holiday by far. Take away any meaning or spiritual reference to the holidays, Turkey day is my numero uno! I love the spirit of Christmas, all the jolly merriment and sparkly things surrounding it. I love making people happy with gifts too. In my imaginary world, there would be no Christmas gifts at all. Just another wonderful day to spend with family and friends by the fire sipping adult beverages and possibly wearing your PJ's all day. The idea of gift giving has become something expected and therefore taken the meaning away from it. So, I love Thanksgiving the most. I can have my pie and eat it too. With lots of extra whipped cream! No presents mucking up the family time. No stress about all the money spent. Just great food and great company, afternoon walks and naps, then more food.

So what am I thankful for you ask?

I am thankful for a great number of things on a daily basis, but I am most thankful for where my life has taken me and who has been by my side the whole way on the journey here, and that he can be here on my most favorite of holidays to share it with me.
